Choir and Handbells

This choir is open to students in grades 1 and 2. The Tiny Trebles Choir is directed by Ms. Peggy Armenta. Students perform at the grade-level Christmas concert, the spring concert, assigned school Masses, and at other events. The program is provided after school and is fee-based. A participation agreement is required from every student. Tiny Trebles starts Tuesday, September 17!

First grade will rehearse on Tuesdays from 2:00 pm - 2:40 pm in the KA classroom
Second grade will rehearse on Thursdays from 2:00 pm - 2:40 pm in the KA classroom.

This choir is open to students in Grades 3 and 4. The Serra Singers Choir is directed by Ms. Peggy Armenta. They perform at the grade level Christmas concert, the Spring concert, assigned school Masses, and at other events. They will also attend a Disneyland performance workshop. Rehearsals began Tuesday, September 17. Rehearsals will take place weekly, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm upstairs in the PEB Music Room.

The Serranade choir is open to all students in grades 5-8. It is a no-audition, year-long activity. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday morning from 6:50 am - 7:40 am in the SCLC Music Room.

Serranade begins Tuesday, October 8.

The choir prepares for performance including school Masses, Harvest Festival, Christmas and Spring concerts, 8th grade Graduation Mass and Commencement, and Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. They will also attend a Disneyland performance workshop in the spring as well as the annual Choral Festivals in December and May.

Regular attendance at the weekly choir rehearsals is required. All interested and enthusiastic singers will be admitted. A participation agreement is required from each student. For more information about this ensemble please email Janess Sifers at jsifers@serraschool.org.

The Bellissima Handbell Choir is open to interested students in grades 5-8. The ensemble is a year-long activity. Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm in the SLSC Music Room. Bellissima Handbells begin Tuesday, October 8. Additional after school or lunch rehearsals will be scheduled as needed for performance preparation. The ensemble prepares for performances at school Masses, Christmas and Spring concerts and the annual Concordia spring handbell festival, in Irvine CA.
