In-N-Out Fundraising Lunch Program
2018-19

In & Out ordering for January is now open from November 15th until December 13th.  You will be able to order meals for the month of January OR place annual orders that will cover January 2019 through June 2019.  This is the LAST call for ANNUAL orders, you will not be able to order annual orders after December 13th.

In-N-Out lunch includes: 
Choice of hamburger, cheeseburger or grilled cheese, chips, cookie and bottle of water.

Pricing:
Hamburger Meal $7.50
Cheeseburger Meal $8.00
Grilled Cheese Meal $7.50

For the 2018-19 school year, the In-N-Out Lunch Program is offered as an operating budget fundraiser with a portion of the proceeds supporting Student Extracurricular programs.

How to order... it's as easy as #1, 2, 3!

1. Order for ALL of your students in ONE transaction.  Each student will receive the same meal for every lunch offered that month. You are purchasing for ALL lunch dates offered for the month, regardless of field trips or other school events. All orders are non-refundable. 

 2. Complete:

                Page 1: Purchase the number of meal types needed. 

                Page 2: Enter each student’s name, homeroom and meal type requested. This information will be listed on the students order slip they receive in the classroom on the day of the lunch, so please enter carefully.

                 Buying 2 meals per student, per lunch date? Please list your child's name as Student #1 AND Student #2 on page 1.  The information listed on page 2 becomes the order slips that the students receive in the classroom on the day of the lunch. 

                 Page 3: Complete the payment information, Debit or Credit Card only.  No checks or cash accepted.

​ 3.  Please help our volunteers, before you complete your order:

  • Double check the meal type you select on page 1 matches the meal type that you complete on page 2. 
  • This can easily be reviewed on the top of page 3, prior to making payment. Thank you!!

Thank you for supporting this fundraising lunch program to benefit students of SJSC!
All orders are non-refundable. 

NOTE:  When students are on a field trip on an In&Out day between the hours of 11:00am - 1:00pm the In&Out lunch ordered for that day will be considered a donation.  Due to the quantity submitted to In&Out, we are unable to pass orders on to another student.


In September, there is ONLY a Monthly Order option.
September Monthly Order Period: Tuesday, July 31 – Friday, August 24th, 3:00 p.m.
Annual Orders (October - June Meals) and October Monthly Orders: Begin Tuesday, August 28.

Annual Orders (November - June Meals) and November Monthly Orders: Begin Thursday September 27th and Close Monday October 22nd at 3:00 p.m.

Annual Orders (December - June Meals) and December Monthly Orders: Begin Thursday October 25th and Close Monday November 12th at 3:00 p.m.

Annual Orders (January - June Meals) and January Monthly Orders: Begin Thursday November 15th and Close Thursday December 13th


Helpful Hints:

1.      Lunches are offered one month at a time, for ALL meals in that month.  Individual weeks are not an option. Watch school email communications for links and due dates.

2.      The day before a lunch is served, parents may check on the Parents Only section of this website for a listing of students who have purchased lunch for that date.

3.      This lunch program is:

a.     offered as ONLINE ONLY, using your Debit or Credit Cards.  No walk ups will be accepted.

b.     managed by parent volunteers and coordinated with a Parent Services staff member, Patti Brown, Lunch Program Coordinator.  For questions email, ino@serraschool.org

Sapphire Hot Lunch begins Wednesday, September 5th

·         *NEW* NEW*NEW* Ordering System! Create your new account at SAPPHIRE AT SCHOOL portal. View INSTRUCTIONS for setting up your account.  You will need your student’s Sycamore ID # to begin. Don’t remember your Sycamore ID?  Contact info@sapphireatschool.com.  (New Families will receive Sycamore ID #s on Thursday, September 6th in their Monthly Envelope.)

·         Note: A convenience fee of 4% will be charged each time you pre-load your Sapphire account.

·         Orders can be added, changed or canceled up until midnight, the night before the lunch is served!

*NEW* Sapphire Snack Bar & Emergency Lunch Program Launches on Monday, September 10th

·         Introducing the SAPPHIRE SNACK BAR, which will offer healthier options!  Students with accounts will be able to select from a wide variety of healthy snacks to keep their energy up until lunch time.

·         Create your account at SAPPHIRE AT SCHOOL portal. View INSTRUCTIONS for setting up your account.

·         Note: Students will no longer be able to walk up with cash to the Snack Bar window to purchase, so please set up your student’s Sapphire account today.

·         Sapphire will be providing an Emergency Lunch for students which will be charged to a student’s Sapphire account. If a student does NOT have a Sapphire account, the student will be served and the parent will be contacted via email from Sapphire.

Lunch Choices

At St. Junipero Serra we believe that a nutritious lunch keeps children healthy and gives them energy to do well in school.

Below are several meal options for our students:

1) Packed lunch brought from home.

2) Pre-order lunch through our lunch service provider, Sapphire At School. To learn more about Sapphire's lunch program and/or place an order, please see tab below.

3) On scheduled Thursdays, we have fundraising lunches which currently include In-N-Out. Please click on the IN-N-OUT tab below for more information and to place your orders.

In the morning, please review with your child what the plan is for their lunch.

Bringing a Late Lunch for Your Student?

If you are bringing in a Late Lunch for your child, please make sure their first and last name and homeroom (e.g. 3B, 7A) is clearly marked on the lunch. Place the lunch on the applicable shelf of the "Late Lunch Cart" located in the School Office AND SIGN-IN the lunch on the "Late Lunch Log" located on the cart. 

*NEW 2018-19* Late Lunches are ONLY ACCEPTED until 11:00 a.m. The cart will be removed from the School Office at 11:00 a.m.

If arriving with a Late Lunch after 11:00 a.m., please park in a Visitor parking space, sign-in at the School Office for a badge, walk the lunch down to the LATE LUNCH cart at the MEC hallway next to the Snack Bar and Sign the "Late Lunch" into the log on the cart.

In most cases, a child will know by their morning break time that they do not have a lunch at which time they should inform their teacher and ask to call home to see if a lunch could be brought in for them.

Late Lunches & Emergency Lunches

In the morning, please review with your child what the plan is for their lunch. If you are bringing in a lunch for your child, please make sure their first and last name and classroom (e.g. 3B, 7A) is clearly marked on the lunch and place the lunch on the applicable shelf of the lunch cart located in the School Lobby. If your child is without a lunch they should consider these options:

1) Late Lunch Cart? Go to the Snack Bar (MEC Servery) and check the Late Lunch cart to see if a lunch has been brought in for them. (In the case of Kindergarten students, the teacher’s assistant will check the cart).

2) Hot Lunch Ordered? Go to the PEB Servery window to check with Sapphire Lunch to see if their name is on the Hot Lunch list for that day.

3) Need an Emergency Lunch? Go to the Snack Bar (MEC Servery) where Sapphire will provide an Emergency Lunch at a cost. Students provide their name to the Sapphire cashier. Students will be served irregardless if they have a Sapphire account. If your family does not have a Sapphire account, Sapphire will contact you to collect payment for the lunch served. Primary contact information will be provided by SJSC to Sapphire, in this case.  

Sapphire Emergency Lunch consists of: Sunbutter & Jelly Sandwich (nut free), fruit, savory side and a bottle of water for $7.50.

Sapphire Snack Bar

Where?

Snack bar is located at the MEB Servery window.

When?

Snack bar is open during morning recesses and lunches.

What?

Sapphire At School supplies and serves our students in the Snack Bar, along with an SJSC parent volunteer.  

  • Only students with Sapphire at School accounts will be served.
  • No cash accepted.
  • Students with Sapphire accounts will walk up to the Snack Bar window (MEC Servery) and a Sapphire cashier or SJSC parent volunteer will assist them. The student will say their name and they may choose from the menu as long as they have preloaded funds on their Sapphire at School acct.

Lunch & Recess Duty Information

We wish to thank all of our parents who are actively involved and participate in the much-needed lunch and recess supervision of our students. Because of your participation, our students experience a sense of community in a caring environment and also allows us to keep educational costs at a minimum.
 

Each family is required to perform 60 volunteer hours, which includes lunch duty. You will receive double hours credit for any hours served for the following lunch duty areas: Lunch Supervision, Snack Bar, Sapphire Lunch, Kinder Lunch Supervision and In & Out.
