After-school computer science class
grades 4 - 8
Come and learn the basics of computer programming using scratch!
Miss Thomas will introduce students to this fun program.
Classes will be held after school in the new SCLC Creativity Labs.
Students will learn computer science skills while they animate their own digital creations! Students will use the computer to design animated stories, games, and their very own studio logo. While Computer Science Class members build, create, and play, they learn important skills that will help open future educational and career opportunities.
ANIMATION: Create.Code.Animate. Use the computer to design animated stories, games, and your very own studio logo. Learn how you can use technology to bring characters to life!
FASHION & DESIGN: Fashion.Design.Coding. Use the computer to design your own color combinations, create a stylist fashion tool, and learn how technology is used in the fashion industry!
No previous computer science is necessary.

FALL Classes Begin Tuesday, october 2, 2018
PGA Professionals come to campus to lead students through a socially based curriculum designed for juniors that creates enthusiasm for the game of golf. Hands on activities and exercises allow the class to experience the positive culture and values that are associated with golf. Boys and girls of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Class size is limited to 15, so sign up now!

Semi-Private and Private Piano and Keyboard Instruction
Explore your child's musical ability and potential through Piano as instructed by Mr. Gene Ho. Mr. Ho has over 20 years of experience as a private Piano Instructor in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Instruction will include:
- Emphasis on Note Reading and Sight Reading for each new lesson
- Learn all types of music from Classical to Pops
- Knowledge of Scales and Chord Systems
- Technical exercises for finger dexterity and velocity
- Music Theory and Harmony
- Memorization Techniques for Intermediate and Advanced Students
Class size will be limited to one or two students per class. Classes are offered at three different time periods per day, four days per week. Select the time and day best suited for your schedule.
After class, Mr. Ho will take students to the appropriate dismissal location.
Young Rembrandts is back at SJSC for a 10-week session
October 1, 2018 - December 17, 2018
No class October 29 and November 19, 2018
Young Rembrandts will be providing after-school drawing classes for students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Students will have a new and exciting lesson every class. They will learn fundamental drawing skills incorporating two artist concepts in drawing and color technique each lesson. Classes will be held on Mondays from 1:55p.m. - 2:55 p.m. for Grades K - 2.

After class, a Young Rembrandt's employee will take students to the appropriate dismissal location. This employee will stay with the students until all students are picked up.

Classes Begin October 2, 2018
Showtime Dance is offering a Ballet/Tap Dance Class for TK-2nd Graders on Tuesdays from 1:50-2:40 p.m., October 2nd-May 28th. Curriculum is based in California State Educational Standards for the arts, and increases children's body and spacial awareness, and mathematical and interpersonal skills. The dancers will perform at Christmastime, and in a FREE dance recital in May, and costume rental fees are already included in dance tuition. With Showtime, dance class is convenient, family-friendly, affordable, and FUN!

Fall Classes Begin Thursday, October 4, 2018
There will be a Soccer Stars Demo Day for TK - Grade 1 on Monday, September 24, 2018 during lunch.
Super Soccer Stars teaches soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive and
educational environment. Through our age-specific curriculum, we
use soccer to nurture, build self-confidence and develop teamwork.
Low child-to-coach ratios and positive reinforcement ensure that each
child improves at his or her own pace while having a blast!

Paul Effman provides highly trained educators along with a skilled manager to regularly oversee the program. Staff members are carefully selected based on their college education and performance accomplishments. Students in grades 3 and up are eligible to participate in the band program. Students in grades 1 and up are eligible to participate in the string program. Students of Paul Effman Music Service receive quality education with continuity.
Instruments are available through a rental or purchase program at rates substantially below market. The instruments involved in the school band include: Bells, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Drums, as well as many background instruments.
The instruments involved in the school orchestra include: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass.
