Campus Life

Welcome to campus life at St. Serra!

There are many opportunities for our students beyond the classroom door! Here, extra-curricular activities are abundant and every student has the opportunity to find the right programs that interest them and a chance to make new friends who share those very same interests.

Student Leadership
Students in Grades Seven and Eight are elected into office for a Student Leadership position. Student Leadership members run for office during the Spring and hold office for the next school year. Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Spirit, Campus Ministry, Safety and Ecology, Library, Sports, and Class Representatives. All members play an active role in Student Leadership, meeting and greeting at various events, running school-wide rallies, organizing Santa Grams (a Christmas-time fundraiser), and many other activities around the campus.

After-School Classes
After-school classes are available each day (Monday through Thursday). Some of the programs offered are Young Rembrandt’s Art, Piano lessons, Golf, Soccer, Academic Chess, Hands-on Science, Dance classes, and Life Skills just to name a few. These programs are run directly through outside, after-school program vendors. The classes are held in various classrooms on campus.

St. Serra offers a variety of sports for students in Grades Five – Eight: Boys and Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Boys Flag Football, Co-ed Soccer, Spirit Squad, and Track Field (available for students in Grades One – Eight).

Students in Grades One – Eight can join a choir: Tiny Trebles, Serra Singers, Middle School Choir, and Handbell Choir are all opportunities for students to share their musical talents with the school. Choirs perform at Masses and other various opportunities throughout the year.

Theater Arts
St. Serra produces a musical each year offering a unique opportunity for all students in grades 1 – 8 to be a part of a live theater performance. Whether it’s acting, singing, dancing or crew – there’s a role for every student who wants to be a part of this very special event.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry develops and nurtures the Catholic, Christian identity of the students of SJSC's Middle School. The Program strives to provide experiences in which the students can practice and explore their Catholic identity and faith.
