Eighth Grade Curriculum

Curriculum Overview

Instruction in 8th grade is offered using a departmentalized approach. Eigth grade students have a blocked, waterfall schedule that includes eight periods of daily instruction.

RELIGION/LEADERSHIP FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

  • English Composition featuring the Jane Schaffer Approach to expository writing
  • Additional writing genres of descriptive writing, journals/letters, narrative and persuasive writing and poetry

  • Daily "In the Zone" free reading with reader's response journals
