Franklin D. Roosevelt
By, Christian San Filippo
Franklin D. Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882. In 1905 on St. Patrick’s Day he married Eleanor Roosevelt. In 1910 he was elected senate of New York. Franklin Roosevelt set a lot of mile stones in U.S. history such as, he was the first President to fly in an airplane while President. He also attended some of the top schools in the U.S. such as Harvard and Columbia Law school. He was a lawyer in the Supreme Court before being elected President in 1932. He was also elected governor of New York before his presidency. He was President from 1933-1944. Franklin D. Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945 in Warm Springs, Georgia. I think he is a great American because he flew in airplane before any other president which allowed other presidents to follow and thus forth allowing other presidents to travel to other countries so they can fulfill their duty as president. If he hadn’t flown in a plane our country’s freedom and relationships with other countries and our allies might be different. Time Line
