James K. Polk

James K. Polk was the 11th president of the United States. He was born on November 2, 1795 in North Carolina. He was a great president and a great man. James is a great man because he became the President of the United States. James was the leading contender for the Democratic. He served as a speaker then left to become governor of Tennessee. James was a chief lieutenant of Jackson in his Bank war. James added a vast area to the United States. At the Democratic Convention, James K. Polk was nominated on the ninth ballot. James left office because of his health. James K. Polk died in June 15, 1849 in Nashville Tennessee.
