What makes Martin Van Buren a great American is his great loyalty. He loved America and wanted to change it as shown by running and winning Presidency. He loved America and devoted 4 long years to it. He would have done more but he came up just a little short for his second term in office. He was married and had 5 children. Overall, Van Buren was an outstanding president who loved us all and our freedom.
