Dwight D. Eisenhower
I believe that Dwight D. Eisenhower should be remembered because he was a great military leader as well as a great political leader. He also was faced with many hardships during his early life and during his terms. He suffered a heart attack during the end of his 1st term, but he remained optimistic and said a prayer for peace which was timely and honorable. This act shows his kindness and care for his people and for God, which can be modeled for all of us today and people in the future. He lead campaigns into North Africa and commanded a force on D-Day. His leadership during World War II shows he has honor and pride for his country, because of his commanding of D-day. I believe that Dwight D. Eisenhower is a great American because of his love and care for everyone and everything, and his perseverance in his early life and in World War II.
