Millard Fillmore

            Millard Fillmore was the 13th president of the United States. He served as president from 1850 to 1853. Fillmore is a very important person in presidential history because he held a great role in the House of Representatives and the Congress. In 1832, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the Congress of the United States. And in 1848, he was elected Vice President to work for the president Zachary Taylor. And in 1850, he was elected America’s 13th president. But in 1853, he turned his job over to Pierce. Millard Fillmore is very important to our society because he played many roles in the office for a long period of time. He helped our country develop many responsibilities to help the people of our country become one nation.
