Richard M. Nixon

Richard Nixon was born on January 9, 1913 in Yorba Linda, California. He had a brilliant record from Duke University Law School before beginning the practice of law. His political career began when he was elected to go to the House of Representatives. He served as Vice President for eight years. He became interested in running for president and ran in elections. Richard Nixon is important to our country because he ended the Viet Nam war and made relationships the U.S.S.R. and China. Richard was the 37th president. He died on April 22, 1994 of a stroke.
