John Quincy Adams is important to history because he was the sixth president and no one candidate received a majority of electoral votes and the election was decided in Adams' favor by Congress. John Quincy Adams also was the sixth president of the United States of America. John Quincy Adams wasn’t just known for these things, but he showed many positive virtues. Some of them include faith, passion, love, understanding, and many more. John also was a very good academic student, going to many renowned schools through out high school to college. All these things is what made him such an important man, and a great president.
