Calvin Coolidge

The 39th President of the United States

Calvin Coolidge made an impact on happenings in our own states and even foreign countries. He passed bills and argued in many political arguments over taxes and different lawsuits. One special and memorable thing that Calvin Coolidge did was work on the Kellogg-Briand Pact. These words may not seem like much, but another name for this was The Treaty for the Renunciation of War. This treaty made the countries who signed it give up war as a national policy. This means they were to settle battles in peaceful means. The support of Calvin Coolidge in The Treaty for the Renunciation of War makes him an important part of our history. This is because he was not only against war, but he helped to support and pass a treaty that put more peace into the United States of America.
