Franklin D. Roosevelt was the president of the United States from         1933-1945. He is an important president because he devoted much planning of a United Nations; he hoped the international difficulties could be settled. When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, he directed the organization of the Nation’s manpower and resources for global war.
