Gregory disapproved of Bishop

1. Henry turns the bishops against the pope

2. Henry tries to take power over the church

3.Gregory believes the pope should be the only one in power over the church

Gregory excommunicates Henry

Henry wants to stay in power

4.Gregory gets very mad at Henry

5.Gregory sends Henry away for three days because of what he did to him, the bishops and especially the church

Henry stands barefoot in snow
