St. Peter

 

  1. Early life
    1. He was born in Bethsaida, a town on Lake Genesareth. The Apostle Andrew was his brother.
    2. Worked as a fisherman on Lake Genesareth and owned his own boat.
    3. Simon settled in Capharnaum and lived with his mothe-in-law
  2. What virtues he models
    1. Faith, beacause when he first saw Jesus he fell to his knees and started praising him.
    2. Courage, because he walked on water.
    3. Love, He loved Jesus with all his heart and believed in him.
  3. His importance to our Church
    1. was the first pope.
    2. He spread Catholicism throughout the world.
    3. Price of the apostles.
