St. Peter

   I.  His life                                          

1. Peter was a fisher, like his brother.

2. Simon Peter was introduced to Jesus by his brother, Andrew.

3. He became a diciple of Jesus later .

4. Peter was the first pope.

5. He was crucified on Vatican Hill, upside down because he thought he was unworthy of being crucified the same way as Jesus.

6. Peter holds the key to heaven.

1. What virtues he models

   1.   ♥♥♥♥♥ He has a great love for Jesus.

   2. He is a leader (rock of the church)

   3.   He carries the key to heaven. (Trustworthiness)

   4. He has courage, because he started the church.

   5. He models faith, because he followed Jesus with no question, but through faith.

   6. He modeled respect by saying that he was unworthy to die the same way as Jesus did on the cross.

2. His importance to our Church

   1. Peter was one of Jesus' disciples.         

   2. He was the first Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

   3. He was the rock of the church.

   4. He was the first disciple to perform a miracle through Jesus.
