St. Peter
  1. His importance to our Church
    1. Jesus said that His Church would be built upon Peter and that Peter would be the rock.
    2. Even to this day people look at him as an outstanding person for the church and the best disciple.
    3. After Jesus' death and resurrection Peter went out and taught as many people as he could about Christianity and even died trying.
    4. He is a great role model for lots of people in the world and is a high person in our religion.
  2. What virtues he models
    1. Love- Although he denied Jesus three times, Peter loved the Lord with all his heart and soul.
    2. Modesty- Peter died upside down because he said he was unworthy to die the same way that Jesus died.
    3. Courageous- Peter believed in Jesus when He called to him and followed Him right away.
  3. Early life
    1. Peter was a fisherman on the Lake Genesareth before Jesus called to him.
    2. Peter was crucified upside down because he thought he was unworthy to die the same way as Christ.
    3. Jesus told him that His Church will be built upon him and that whatever he did on earth would happen in Heaven. Where I found my information
