St. Peter

Early life

Peter lived in Bethsaida, near Lake Tiberias.

He and his brother worked as fisherman on Lake Genesareth.

His brother, Andrew, introduce him to Jesus.

What virtues he models

Humble- He showed this by not wanting to die the same way Christ did so he was crucified upside down.

Belief- After Peter caught an enormous amount of fish he
immediately fell down at the feet of the Lord.

Commitment- Although he denied the Lord three times he was the first apostle to start spreading the word of the Lord.

His importance to our Church

Peter was the first Pope in the church.

He was the head of the apostles after Jesus died and continued Jesus' teachings.

He and Saint Paul founded the see of Rome.
