St. Peter

- His life
- Like his brother Peter worked as a fisherman on Lake Genesareth.
- Peter was introduced to Jesus and Peter became one of Jesus
disciples.
- The first reappearance of Christ after his death was to Peter. When the
Lord came to Tiberius to see the disciples he gave Peter the command to " Feed
my lambs...Tend my sheep...Feed my lambs"
- Peter was crucified
on Vatican Hill upside down because he declared himself unworthy to die in the
same manner of the Lord
- St. Peter was our first pope and started the
Catholic Church
- He was at Jesus side at the transfiguration, the
raising of Jairus daughter

- Love-He modeled love by becoming Jesus disciple and giving up his
dreams to live and be like Jesus
- Courage-He modeled courage by taking on the large responsibility of
starting the church and bringing all Catholics to be with God
- Faith-He modeled faith by always believing in God even if he was
tempted to the most extreme point
- Respect-He modeled
respect by declaring himself unworthy to die the same way as Jesus
Christ

- Peter is important to our church because he was recognized as the
Prince of the Apostles
- Peter is important to our church because he was the first disciple
to perform miracles in the name of Christ
