St. Peter

- His life
- Peter was a native of Bethsaida, the desendant of John, was called to become a disciple of
Jesus
- He denied Christ three times after the Lord died.
Once when a servent girl asked him. Again to
the same girl he denied being a follower of jesus. Then once more to a crowd of people.
- After Jesus was raised he became the head of Jesus'
followers.
- He was imprisoned by King Herod but then escaped with
the help of an angel.
- He died when he was 64.
- What virtues he models
- Humble: he asked the lord no to wash his feet at the
Last Supper.
- Faithful:
throughout his life he trusted Jesus- he believed Jesus when He said that
He would rise
- Courage: He
kept on preaching Jesus' words even though he was threatened
- Leadership: He
took charge after Jesus' death and became the head of the disciples
- His importance to our Church
