By: Monica Patrick

- Early life
- Peter was a native of Bethsaida, near Lake Tiberias, the son of John and worked, like his brother St. Andrew, as a fisherman on Lake Genesareth.
- Peter and his brother Andrew were called by Jesus saying, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
- Peter's brother Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus, and the Jesus called Peter to become a
disciple.
