St. Peter
Nick Noriega

-
Early life
- Peter
received a new name from Jesus and it was Cephas, which also means rock.
-
In his early life he was a native of Bethsida, and worked as a fisherman like his brother.
-
Andrew, his brother, introduced him to Jesus, and He called peter to become a disciple. Peter agreed and became a disciple
-
What virtues he models
- Love- Peter modeled love for Jesus
and his disciples by taking the role of being a pope, being one of the 12
disciples, and
for the people of God.
- Faith- Peter
modeled faith for God, even though he denied him many times. He was an
apostle, and a pope, and always spread God's word.
- Courage-Peter
modeled courage by not being afraid of believing in God, like other people, and
always doing things for God.
-
His importance to our Church
-
He was the first elected pope of the church.
-
He was the most prominent of the 12 disciples, always at Jesus' side
- He always helped Jesus, and was with
Jesus for most of his miracles that occurred.
