St. Peter

1. Early life
   1. He was born under John at Bethsaida
   2. After Jesus was arrested Peter cut off the ear of a slave of the high priest Malchus and then denied him three times 
   3. When Jesus fist found simon he named him Peter and said."this is where i will build my church and will give you the key to heaven
2. What virtues he models
   1.  Courage-He was not afraid to believe in God unlike other people
   2.   Faith -Peter motiled faith for God, even though he denied him many times, but was an apostle and became the first Pope
   3.  Love- He showed love for God by take the postion as first Pope
3. His importance to our Church
   1. He was the first pope of the church
   2.  Peter was at most of Jesus' miracles he performed
   3. he was one of the twelve disciples
