  1. Early life
    1. Peter is the son of John and was born in Bethsaida. His brother is St. Andrew.
    2. After Jesus was arrested, Peter cut off the right ear of a slave of the high priest Malchus and then denied Christ three times as the Lord predicted.
    3. Jesus gave Peter a new name, when he called on him to become an apostle, it was Cephas, or the rock
  2. What virtues he models
    1. Love- He modeled Love for Jesus , by taking on the rule of being the First Pope and being their for the people and Jesus
    2. Courage- Peter modeled courage by he wasn't afraid of believing in God, like other people.
    3. Faith- Peter Showed he had Faith for God and Jesus, he may of denied it a times, but he was an apostle and a pope and that shows faith in God and Jesus.
  3. His importance to our Church
    1. He is the first Pope Of the Roman Catholic Church.
    2. One of the 12 apostles
    3. He record more than any other disciple. Peter was also at many miracles Jesus did.
