- Simon
Peter or Cephas, the first pope

first Prince of the Apostles.

Peter
was a native of Bethsaida which is near Lake Tiberias.
- He
was the son of John, and worked as a fisherman on Lake Genesareth.

What virtues he models

One of his virtues
that he represented was faith. He modeled this by always being there
for Jesus and never doubting
him or his judgment. He was a wonderful follower.

Another virtue
was respect and compassion. For example, he was
there for Jesus and stuck up for him when he was led away and betrayed.
He was very nice and caring.

Lastly he was trustworthy,
Peter was always at Jesus' side and never betrayed him. He love
him with all of his heart.

His importance to our Church

He is considered the first pope.

He is also called the "Prince of the Apostles."
