St. Peter

1. His life
   1. He worked as a fisherman on Lake Genesareth.
   2. Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus, and Christ called Peter to become a disciple.
   3. He helped organize the Last Supper and played a major role in the events of the Passion.
2. What virtues he models
   1. Love, because he died on the cross up side down because he thought he wasn't worthy enough to die how Jesus died.
   2. Faith, because when Jesus told Peter to “Feed my lambs.... Tend my sheep.... Feed my sheep” right after the Ascension of Jesus he spoke first to the crowds that had assembled after the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost
   3. Loyalty, because he was very loyal to Jesus and did what Jesus told him to do.
3. His importance to our Church
   1. Peter was a leader among the apostles, the one to make the confession of Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and the one given the keys of the kingdom is why he is important to our church. 
   2. He wrote down much of Jesus'  life in the bible.
   3. He was our first pope.
   4. Out of the whole world one man, Peter, is chosen to preside at the of all nations and to be set over all the apostles and all the fathers of the church.
