St. Peter

This Picture shows that St. Peter is holding the key to Heaven, and his heart is for his faith of Jesus, and the cross shows his loyalty to Jesus because he is staying by Jesus' side.

1. His life
   1. Jesus gives Peter the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.
   2. Peter was called by Christ to be a disciple.
   3. The lord told Peter the famous command to," Feed my lambs .... Tend my sheep ... Feed my sheep."
   4. Peter died on a upside down cross because he was not holy enough to die the same way Jesus did.
2. What are the virtues that he models
   1. faith- He believed in Jesus.
   2. loyalty- He stayed true to Jesus, and felt he was not good enough to be hung the same way as Jesus.
   3. obedient- He would stay by Jesus' side, and kept the keys to heaven. 
3. His importance to our Church
   1. Peter guards the gates to heaven.
   2. Peter denied Christ three times just as Jesus predicted.
   3. Peter was in the inner circle of Jesus, with James and John.
