He worked as a fisherman on Lake Genesarth.

Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus, and Christ called Peter to become a disciple.

He helped organize the Last Supper and played a major role in the events of the Passion.

What virtues he models

Compassion, because he died on the cross upside down because he thought he wasn,t worthy enough to die how Jesus died.
- Faith, he was faithful to his people and a good pope.
- Trust, because he trusted Jesus and always did what he was told to
do.

His importance to our Church

Peter was a leader among
the apostles, the one to make the confession of Jesus as the Christ, the Son of
the Living God, and the one given the keys of the kingdom.

He wrote down much of Jesus' life in the bible.
- St. Peter
was our first pope
- Out of the whole world one man, Peter, is chosen to preside at the of
all nations and to be set over all the apostles and all the fathers of the
church.
