His life

Peter was a native of Bethsaida of a town near Lake Tiberias.

He was the son of John and often worked alongside his brother, St. Andrew, who
was a fisherman of Lake Genesareth.

His brother had introduced Peter to Jesus, Jesus asked Peter to
come and join to become a disciple.

What virtues he models
-
He models Compassion. He was willing to help organize the Last Supper
and be considerate by following in Jesus' footsteps like a true disciple.

Peter models Leadership.
He is the first pope, Prince
of the Apostles and the founder of the see of Rome,
with St. Paul. He was willing to show the best example to his fellow disciples
and others and show how a true Christian should be.
- He models Helpfulness. Peter always
gives a hand to his disciples or Jesus who are in need of help.

His importance to our Church

He was the 1st pope and
the Prince of the Apostles.

Peter helped set the event of the Last Supper with Jesus and the rest of his disciples. He also played a major role of the passion of Jesus.
