St. Peter                         
  1. Early life
    1. After the Resurrection, Peter and the "other disciple" went to the tomb after being told the event by the women. The first appearance of the Risen Christ was before Peter, ahead of the other disciples, and when the Lord came before the disciples at Tiberias, he gave Peter the famous command," Feed my lambs...Tend my sheep...Feed my sheep."
    2. Saint Peter is the patron saint for bakers, fisherman, locksmiths, masons, and net makers. Also horologists, shipwrights, the Papacy, cobblers, Cordwainers, butchers, harvesters, and  bridge builders.
    3.  He is called for aid in foot problems, frenzy, and fever.
  2. What virtues he models
    1. He models compassion.
    2. He models care.
    3. And he models love.
  3. His importance to our Church
    1. He helped organize the Last Supper and played a major role in the events of the Passion.
    2. Saint Peter was in the inner circle of Jesus with James and John.
    3. When Jesus was arrested he cut off the right ear of a slave of the High Priest Malchus and then denied Christ 3 times as the Lord had predicted.
