What virtues he models
-
Peter models respect. When Peter spoke to Jesus he
referred to min as the Messiah and the Son of the living God.
-
Peter also models trustworthy. Jesus
referred to Peter as the rock his church will be built upon. He also trusted him with the keys of Heaven.
-
Peter also was loyal through his actions of love and service. Even though Peter betrayed Jesus 3 times, Peter came back to Jesus during and after his
ascension.
-
Peter also modeled the virtue of humbleness. When Peter died on Vatican Hill he died upside-down on the cross. He
believed he wasn't worthy to die the same way Jesus did.
