Peter was a born native of Bethsaida.

He was a fisherman like his brother St. Andrew. St. Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus and was made one of His apostles.

He was at Jesus' side at the Transfiguration, the raising of Jairus' daughter, and the Agony in the Garden of
Gethsemane.

Peter helped arrange Jesus' Last Supper and played a main part in Jesus' Passion.

He denied Jesus three times as Jesus had said.

He was the first disciple after the women to see the risen Christ.

Peter was crucified on Vatican Hill upside down because he thought he was too unworthy the same way Jesus did.
