His life

1. He meet Jesus while fishing, where he witnessed a miracle.
2. He was appointed the leader of the apostles by Jesus
3. Before he met Christ, he was a fisherman in the lake of Genesareth.

1. What virtues he models
   1. When he first met Jesus, he fell to the ground to humble himself.
   2. When he died he was crucified upside down,
   3. Jesus named him Peter (the Rock) because of his faith in him.
2. His importance to our Church
   1. Saint Peter was the first Pope.
   2. He was Jesus' most faithful follower
   3. He has the keys to heaven
