St. Peter

  1. Early life
    1. St. Peter was born in Bethsaida.
    2. He was the son of John.
    3. He was a fisherman like his brother St. Andrew.

  2. What virtues he models
    1. He modeled Faith because he had faith and believed in God and Jesus.
    2. He also modeled love because he loved Jesus and he cared for others. When the Master was arrested, he sliced off the right ear of a slave of the high priest Malchus and then unused to Christ three times as the Lord forecasted. Peter then "went out and started to sob angrily".
    3. He modeled bravery as well because he was never afraid to do what Jesus had asked him to do and he was brave when he was crucified upside down because he said he was not worthy to die like his Lord.

  3. His importance to our Church
    1. St. Peter was a chosen by Christ to be a disciple.
    2. St. Peter was the first pope in our Catholic religion.
    3. He was the first disciple to do miracles in the name of the Lord.
