He was the first pope, he is Prince of the Apostles and the founder with St. Paul The Sea of Rome

St.paul watched the transfiguration, he was at Jesus' side most of his
preaching's. He was at the raising of Jairus' daughter. The reason why this is important is he recorded these events.

St. Peter appointed the replacement of Judas Iscariot he also spoke first to the crowds that had assembled after the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. St.
Peter was the first Apostle to perform miracles in the name of the Lord and he gave judgment to the evil Ananias and Sapphira. Peter was major in bringing the Gospel to the Gentiles. He baptized a Roman pagan named Cornelius. The Council of Jerusalem he gave him support to the preaching to Gentiles, and by his actions he was permitting the new church to spread among the world.
