St. Peter

1. Early life
   1. Peter was a native of Bethsaida, near Lake Tiberius, the son of John.
   2. Peter was introduced to Jesus, and Christ called Peter to become a disciple.
   3. Peter caught many fish and fell before Jesus.
   4. Peter was died in 64A.D.
2. What virtues he models
   1. Love: Peter showed his love to Jesus by spreading his word.
   2. Patience: Peter shown patience to Jesus when he went fishing with him and caught many fish.
   3. Faith: Peter shown faith to Jesus when Jesus gave him the power of the Holy Spirit.
3. His importance to our Church
   1. Peter was the first pope of our church.
   2. Peter was one of Jesus' apostles.  
   3. Peter was given special authorities from Jesus. 
   4. Peter founded a church in Rome.
