Saint Peter

  1. Early life
    1. Peter was a Bethsaida. He was the son of John.
    2. Peters brother name is St. Andrew. He was a fisherman on Lake Genesareth.
    3. Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus, and Christ called Peter to become a disciple.
  2. What virtues he models
    1. Denial/ loyalty : when peter was asked f he new Jesus he denied knowing him three time but the way he died was upside down cause he thought he was not worthy of dieing  the way Jesus did
    2. Faith: peter was always faithful to Jesus by following him in what he did. He had faith in Jesus at all times
    3. Compassion: he showed compassion towards Jesus, the other apostles, and other people
  3. His importance to our Church
    1. Courage- he defended Jesus when he was being arrested by cutting of the mans ear.
    2. Faith- he followed Jesus and never doubted him.
    3. Denied- he denied Jesus three times.
