St. Peter
St. Peter

-
Early life
-
Peter was a native of Bethsaida.

-
Peter was a fisherman like his brother, Andrew.
-
Andrew introduced Peter to Jesus, and he was chosen by Jesus to become a disciple.
-
What virtues he models
-
Peter died on Vatican Hill upside down because he declared himself
unworthy to die in the same manner as the Lord.
- Peter shows leadership and he also shows
trust
in the name of Jesus and God.
-
Peter also shows that he does not want to be in the same death as the Lord,
that's why he was crucified upside down.
-
His importance to our Church
-
Because Peter told Jesus that he was the messiah, and the son of the living God, on a rock, Jesus built a church there.
-
He helped organize the Last Supper, and played a major role in the events of the passion.
- He was the first the
first apostle to perform miracles in the name of the Lord.
