Music

John Dunstable - John was born 1390, but no one knows the exact date. He was probably born in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.  One of his most famous works is the “Albanus roseo rutilat.”  It is in Latin.  I chose him because he is very different from other music composers.

Literature

Dante Alighieri – Dante was born in 1265, between May 14 and June 13.  He was born into the prominent Alighieri family of Florence.  His greatest work, “The Divine Comedy,” is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of world literature.  Dante pokes fun at tragedies, comedies, and other types of literature.  I chose him because he created one of the greatest masterpieces in the world of literature.

How the Renaissance affects us.

Some of these decisions made in the Renaissance affect us today because there are new types of music, and the art that some of the famous artists made are now very popular; such as the Mona Lisa or the Last Supper.  There are new inventions that are now even more advanced then ever before.  Some of the writers have made incredible poems, books, elegies, and many more such as the Divine Comedy.
