is characterized by that it was an age where artistic, social, scientific, and
political thought turned in new directions.

When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The
Renaissance era occurred between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.

The most influential people during the Renaissance era were women because they were taught at a young age and were more powerful. The women in the Renaissance were taught at their houses because they weren't allowed in to universities. They influenced the Renaissance because most men will listen to woman and the women were very smart and had great ideas.
Donato Bramante was born around 1444 and died in 1514. Donato lived in Milan and Rome. Donato was an Italian architect and painter. Donato was responsible for the Milan cathedral and became the court architect of Lodovico Sforza in 1476. I chose Donato because he had many great arts and built lots of buildigs.
Josquin Desprez was born in 1440 and died in 1521. Josquin lived in mainly in Italy but was born in Belgium. Josquin was very religious so most of his work was related to the church. All his works were sacred and he was very dedicated to his work. I chose Josquin because he was very religious and dedicated to his work so his work seemed a little better.
Dante Alighieri was born in 1265 and died in 1321. Dante lived and grew up in Florence. Dante was a poet and made lots of poems including The Divine Comedy. He also created the Italian language for writing. I chose Dante because he was a great poet and I think is cool.
Nicolaus Copernicus was born in 1473 and died in 1543. Nicolaus was a polish astronomer and lived in Poland. Nicolaus made many contributions to us including that he believed in that the sun was the center of the universe and that the earth moved once on its axis every day. I chose Nicolaus because I think he is really cool and was really smart.
How the Renaissance affects us.
The Renaissance is important to us today because lots of people today use the Renaissance ideas and styles in everyday life. The people in the Renaissance made great discoveries that changed the world even to this day.
