When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The word renaissance means “Re-birth” in French. It was originated in Florence Italy.
Some influential people were artist because they painted in a new style called perspective. This new way painting helped to draw in a way that made everything look realistic, unlike old times wer all paintings looked flat.
Leonardo da Vinci, He was a famous artist who was very talented. He was also an inventor but well known for his art. We still know his works and see them and he inspires many people. I chose him because he is awesome. He lived in Italy from 1452-1519.

Giovanni Palestrina, he was one of the Renaissance period's most important composers. He was an Italian man and he wrote mostly religious music. He also wrote motets, madrigals, and masses. He was born in Palestrina which is near Rome and he lived from 1525-1594. I chose him because he is a great composer.

Dante Alighieri, His contribution was he was a great writer and we learned from him. One of his major works was The Divine Comedy. I chose him because he was the fist writer I saw in the text book. He lived from 1265-1321 in Florence.

Zechariahs Janssen, He created the microscope in 1590. It was a compound microscope that had two lenses. He lived Dutch and he lived from 1580 to 1638. He and his father made and other resources say that his father may have created the first microscope and he took over the business and said he was the first creator.
