The Renaissance was a time when humanism was created. Renaissance means "rebirth" in French.
Rebirth means that there is something new or there will be something new. Europe was becoming anew because there where new rulers and kings that would rule differently and in different ways.
When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The
Renaissance began
in
Florence Italy and spread through out Europe during the 1300s through the 1600s.
The Renaissance occurred when Europe emerged from
the economic stagnation
during the middle Ages and experienced time of growth in the pecuniary category.
Were bankers because the held every ones money and got rich.
The most influential people during the Renaissance were artists, authors, and anatomy studiers. Artists were influential because many unique paintings were done by many famous people. Authors were influential because they thought carefully about certain subjects and helped us know how to think about such topics on our own. Anatomy studiers were influential during the Renaissance period because they were one of the first to study such topics and give us some ideas on how to study them today.
Leonardo Da Vinci was born in 1452 and died in 1519. He lived in Anchiano, Florence, Italy and Amboise,Indre-et-Liore, France. Leonardo Da Vinci was an artist. He painted The Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. I picked Leonardo Da Vinci because he is a great artist and I love art. I enjoy learning about works of art I the past.
Petrarch Machiavelli was a very good poet in his time and everyone liked him. King Henry was a great music composer, yet a king, and author and an amazing poet. King Henry VIII lived from 1491 to 1547 in England. He was the King of England and Lord of Ireland, yet being a famous musician. King Henry also brought about the Dissolution of the Monasteries and the union of England and the Wales. Many significant pieces of legislation were enacted during Henry VIII's reign. They even established him as the supreme head of the Church of England. I chose King Henry VIII because he made many contributions and did many things while still having time to be a musician, poet, and an author.
William Shakespeare is one of the greatest writers of his time. He was amazing and wrote more than 30 comedies, tragedies, and histories. He lived from 1564 to 1616. William's writings and plays are still performed and read by many in the world.
Leonardo da Vinci, because he was the first to draw the anatomy of the human body.
Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564 in Piza, Italy and died on January 8, 1642 in Arcetri, Italy. He was an Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher. His works are improving the telescope, and creating the microscope. Galileo also attempted to measure the speed of light, though he was not successful. He is considered to be the "father of modern physics," "father of modern astronomy", and the "father of science." I chose him because he was a genius in all science areas.
How the Renaissance affects us.
When the polo’s ventured to Asia and found out about all the new inventions and technology that they brought back to Europe. I think the most helpful invention was coal and paper money, because they both made life easier. The Renaissance is important to us today so that we know all about the history of not only just new things in Europe but in the history of the world because this journey the polo’s took to Asia and brought back to Europe helped changed the trade and inventions in the world at that time.
