Leonardo da Vinci lived in Italy and lived from 1452-1519. He is so famous to us because he painted the Last Supper and Mona Lisa. He also invented a calculator, a helicopter, and many more other things that are useful today. I chose him because he painted the Last Supper which gives us an idea of how it was his lifetime was like and also how creative artists were in the Renaissance.
Guillaume Dufay lived in Beersel and lived from 1397-1474.He was famous because he is one of the key composers who served as an artistic link between the Renaissance. I chose him because he was very influential to our world and the Renaissance. He also shows us that you can also be a key composer.
Michelangelo lived in Caprese and lived in the time period 1475-1564. He is famous because two of his biographies were published during his own lifetime. I chose him because writing was a very famous thing in the Renaissance and since he did a good job he became famous.
Filippo Brunelleschi lived in Italy and lived in the time period 1377-April 15, - 1446. He is famous because designed a huge dome for the cathedral in Florence but he ran into a problem. The dome that he wanted to build was so big that it would be to big for the cathedral walls to support. To solve the problem he built two thin, light layers instead of one thick one, heavy one. I chose him because he was very smart to think of the idea to create the dome for the cathedral which a lot of people could not do.
