The Renaissance was a time that scholars and scientists used classical Roman and Greek ideas to make advances in similar subjects. Renaissance means "rebirth" in French. They used their old advances to try to become more educated on what they got their information from, and how they came upon it.
When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The Renaissance began in Florence Italy. It then spread all through out Europe in the 1300'2 lasting until the 1600's. The Renaissance spread Greek and Roman ideas, which helped create new technology in those times. It ended in the 1600's, when they all decided that they shouldn't take form old philosophies, but that they should make their own form of government.
Scholars were very important, so were priests and religious people. The scholars researched the differences between the old ages and the new ages, and the priests helped the people keep their faith in god. They helped them to remember that no matter what happened, God will be there with them.
Leonardo da Vinci created many of the most famous paintings during the Renaissance era. He created the Mona Lisa, which is a world famous painting, and a mystery of who she really is that is yet to be solved. He was a genius because he used perspective, and he used realistic painting forms. He painted with passion, and he was very good at Math. I chose to write about him because he is one of the most famous people of that era.

Maciavelli was a very good poet, and wrote wonderful lyrics that became very
famous. He technique in rhyming words made his songs easy to remember, and
easily written. He made music that gave the people of Italy happiness because
his songs were cheery and pretty. Most of the music prior to the
Renaissance was sacred, but as time progressed it became more secular. I chose
to write about him because he wrote with passion, and he really believed in what
he wrote. He inspired many people to write today.
Dante Alighieri made advancements in poetry. He was the first poet to write in Italian, while the rest f the poets wrote in Greek, or in the language of the Church. William Shakespeare also wrote many plays. He was an expert on humanism and he wrote more than 30 comedies, and tragedies during his time. People would come from all over the world just to see one of his plays. They filled up Opera houses and performance stadiums. He was a genius and is still famous today for his outstanding English writing skills, and his expertise in humanism. I chose to write about him because he is one of the most famous people of all time because of his excellent writing skills.
Galileo
was known as a genius because he accomplished so many things and had many occupations. He lived from 1554 to 1642 in Italy. He was an Italian physicist,
mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher. Galileo is known as, “The father of
modern astronomy, physics, and astronomy.” He had a wide range of knowledge
about math, physics, and science. Even though he was a mathematician, he was
also very bright in subjects such as English and Science. He was a genius, and
is very famous. I chose him because he was very influential in these two
subjects. He invented many forms of math that we use everyday today. He was very
intelligent and a very important influence to us.
