When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The Renaissance began during 1300's in Florence, Italy.
I think that the most influential people during the Renaissance Era were the explorers. They found new trade routes for the one's closed down.
Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born and raised in Vinci, Italy. He was born on April 15, 1452 and died May 2, 1519. Leonardo was a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, musician, and writer. His most famous works are the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and Vitruvian Man. I chose him because he was a great inventor and we use many of his inventions today; like the tank, helicopter, and a calculator.
Claudio Monteverdi was born on May 15, 1567 in Cremona, Italy; and then he moved to Venice. He was an Italian composer, viol player, and singer. His most famous work is the opera L'Orfeo, which is still playing today. On November 29, 1643 Claudio died. I chose him because his opera has been playing since 1607, so L’Orfeo has been playing for 400 years. He was a writer in music and in operas. I chose him because his opera is still playing and is seen many times a year.
William Shakespeare was born in born April 23, 1564in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England; and died April 23, 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England.
