The renaissance was a period of time. The word "renaissance" means rebirth and to rebirth means that there is something new or there will be something new.
When and where did the Renaissance begin?
The Renaissance began in Italy in the 13th century.
The most influential people were the scientists, musicians, and literature. These people were the most influential because they were used for the most things and were considered artist.
Some of the art in the Renaissance is till used today. The cities rich leaders worked together and made the city look wealthy by hiring architects
The music in the Renaissance was mostly sacred music. The sacred music was made for the churches and was religion related. One style of their music was polyphony. Men sang the music.
Niccolo Machiavelli was an Italian writer and politician. He wrote The Prince was a short story written in 1513. The story guided rulers on how they should rule. He sometimes thought rulers should be ruthless if they want to get something done.
Scholars and scientists were influential because the scholars would teach people, and then everyone would learn different things.
How the Renaissance affects us?
The printing press was one of the inventions that affected us. It put the Bible in our hands. It then made us want to read.
