What was the Renaissance? The Renaissance is French for "rebirth"
When and where did the Renaissance begin?
Art and Architecture The artists started signing their art work and then they started dating their work. The architecture was different they started using more layer's so the building would hold up during things like an earthquake and they started using dubble layers for the domes so they would hold up and not colaps on the first day.
Literature Some of the greatest plays were created during the Renaissance . Like Romeo and Juliet, they were created during the Renaissance . Also some great writers were alive during the Renaissance. The plays are popular because we still use them today.
Math and Science The Renaissance created Math symbols that we still use today like the positive, negative and the square root. The scientists learned that the sun or other planets do not revolve around the earth.
How the Renaissance affects us. The Renaissance affected us by the printing press and paper. For printing they used either the wood block printing method or move able type . The move able type has metal move able pieces you make them into the word you want to spell then you spread ink all over it then you get a piece of paper and then you just press down. The other method is a long one . You have to get a piece of wood and carve the thing you want to print then spread ink all over it then you get a piece of paper then press down then you have just printed something.
