Influential People

The most influential people in the Renaissance era were the inventors. They were the most influential people in the Renaissance because if they did not invent the machines, we would not have the inventions that exist today. The inventors were a big part of the Renaissance era because of the many inventions they made and accomplished during the Renaissance era.

William Shakespeare lived from 1564 to 1616. He wrote the famous 154 Sonnets and the numerous highly successful quoted dramatic works including the tragedy of the Prince of Denmark. He wrote about 38 plays, as well as other poems. He did most of his work between 1586 and 1612. Shakespeare is the most quoted writer in the literature and history of the English-speaking world. I picked him because I wanted to do a report on a writer who is known throughout the whole world for his writings and all of his plays. I also chose him because he wrote some of the best plays ever written like "Romeo and Juliet."

Math and Science

Nicolaus Copernicus was born in February 19, 1473 in Thorn, Poland. He attended the University of Krakow, and then did liberal arts at Bologna, and then did medicine at Padua. The enunciation of the heliocentric theory by Copernicus marked the beginning of the scientific revolution. He wrote a epochal book is often conceived as the starting point of modern astronomy, as well as a central and defining epiphany in all the history of science. I chose him because without him, we would not have the first theory of the solar system. I also picked him because he worked until he found the answer.
