James Buchanan

James was born April 23, 1791. later on he became a Federalist Party member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on 1814 and then ended 1815. 20 years later he served from December 6, 1834, was reelected in 1837 and 1843, and resigned on March 5, 1845 to accept a Cabinet portfolio. This is where his political life started. Buchanan started serving as Secretary of State in the Cabinet of President James K. Polk from 1845 to 1849.From 1853 to 1865 Buchanan was named president of the Board of Trustees of Franklin and Marshall College. and finally he became president from March 4, 1857 to March 4,1861.
